Posted by a. Rahman Isnaini r. Sutan on May 30, 2008

Jl. Kuningan Barat as the central of IT/IP/Bandwidth is not the only comodity being traded & now having a new business model like.
Which of course would generate a different revenue stream.
This completely different business model, is a complimentary to robust IT/IP/Bandwidth Business.

Here some pictures you may look at :

“Sogo Jongkok” is now moved from previous location which might not anymore generate revenue for the owners.
Most of things traded are Fashion.
Especially in Friday, more visitors to this area.

To some of you engineers !,  should come and find what you need here after troubleshoot for two or more days in “under zero degree” Datacenter.
Towels, Shirts, Boxers, or even Nail Cutter ! (Remember Your Elementary School Teachers standing with Ruler ?, yap thats it !). If you don’t want it, think about others, hm Yes ! Parfume !.

Day to day, most of visitors not engineers unfortunately, single & married woman whose busy flows, queues, in & out this crowded umbrella mobile stores.
C’mon it just the matter seconds from Cyber Lobby.

INDOSAT 3G & GT Max Option 3.6 Mbps HSDPA DataCard

Posted by a. Rahman Isnaini r. Sutan on May 30, 2008

== Background ==

Due to (As) 24 Hours Network Engineer, I should equip my self with any of instance & mobility internet connection. You know what can I do at 22:00 in the night while our support called & need assitance even immediate action, while Warnet Owner close their last door ?.
This is a mandatory for service to be delivered as SLA defined.

My choice goes to Indosat 3.5G Technology (Matrix Number), which a bit different with INDOSATM2 Broadband though coming from the same group.
Mouth to mouth spread information, this 3.5G connection is pretty good in Speed.
Better than tradisional 3G, GPRS too far behind the race.

But truely I never want to have that ‘fast’ speed tested !. No Way.
Why ? My subscription is Volume Base :)).
Anyway, yes I did once before.
Of course it’s not mine, my friend’s.
International Speed Test, I got 1.7 Mbps using this 3.5 Broadband.

== UPDATED JUNE 3, 2008 ==

I got my DUMeter shows 1.2 Mbps for high traffic last night. (3G Speed Reality).

===================

Well refer to above reasons, I took 1 Gbps Volume.
I’m not sure If I can have remain couple Mbps of volume at the end of month or Over Volume :)
What I’m gonna do is :

- Using Webmail as much I can
- Warn my ‘internet’ family not to open any web with more ‘content’ on it.
- Lock internet connection by password key (good one :))

== The set up ==

1. Insert Globe Trotter DataCard
2. Install Globe Trotter Driver (from CD) and Globe Trotter Connection Manager
3. Insert SIMCard into DataCard
4. Configure Connection Manager, just fill
username : indosat
password : indosat
APN : indosat3g
5. Wait for Network to be ready & registered to INDOSAT
6. Once Ready, get Connect.
7. Done.

Winamp Unwanted Toolbar at Internet Explorer Browser

Posted by a. Rahman Isnaini r. Sutan on May 29, 2008

Lately I’m sick with Unwated Toolbar without any notification on my Firefox / IE.
Winamp, Install at their own for this unwanted toolbar, yes I know it’s free, anyway please alert previously during installation.
My perspective, it’s useless.

Why ?
Since Firefox & IE alredy equipped with similar button on the bar.
Why should I need to have both ?
Why should it’s reduce my screen page ?

For I.E it’s not realy hard to remove.
Go to Internet Option & Add Ons.
Disable Winamp Unwanted Toolbar.

Posted by a. Rahman Isnaini r. Sutan on May 29, 2008

Again using Wireshark 1.0.0, trying to detect what really the port is being used by You Tube & IndoTube6 for streaming purpose.
Here the captured ports.

For IndoTube6 which running over dual stack IPv4 & IPv6,
On the IPv6 part the ports is TCP : start with 14xx (Source) to HTTP (80) destination on the server.

For You Tube which running only over IPv4,
The source ports are TCP : over than port 3400 to HTTP (80) destination on the server.

[Notebook] Realtek High Definition Audio Acer Aspire 4310

Posted by a. Rahman Isnaini r. Sutan on May 27, 2008

Moved from Oprekan.WordPress.Com,
working with Acer Aspire 4310.

The default OS was Vista, which extremely slow for this Celeron M Engine.
Moving to XP was not an easy one.
Some devices might not work finely for you.
And drivers became useless.

Getting hard work overcoming this, I got Realtek Sound was in trouble.
None of any good/bad driver make any better on the installation.
All this notebook has to say at the end of installation process was
“Install Realtek HD Audio Driver Failure” !!.

Eventually “Chicky” on his written experience realy bright me up and sound compeletly working out !.
Here the steps :

- Right Click My Computer (Properties)
- Hardware
- Device Manager
- System Devices
- Microsoft UAA Bus Driver for HD Audio
- Disable first, then Uninstall
- Close All, re install your Zip Audio XP file.

Should be working.

[Notebook] HP 520 Windows XP Cannot Detect Hard Drive - HDD

Posted by a. Rahman Isnaini r. Sutan on May 27, 2008

New Laptop arrived yesterday.
HP 520 pretty nice looks.

Not a perfect one, but equipped with PCMCIA type I/II is really useful.
As GSM Express Data Card is much more expensive compared to PCMCIA type.

Installation begins, using Windows XP.
Immediately Issue comes Up !

Windows XP cannot detect any HDD (Hard Drive).
It might be HDD is not turned on :)
Googling somewhere, found nothing..
Googling anywhere…
Best steps from Sempre Bello in Yahoo Q&A with straightly to the point.

1. Boot Your Laptop
2. Press F10 to go to BIOS Setup
3. Go to System Configuration Tab
4. Go to Device Configurations
5. Disabled “SATA Native Mode”
6. F10 for save change & Exit
7. Boot your HP 520 with Windows XP CD in CDROM

8. No More Issues ! with HDD Detection

For High Definition Audio HP 520 with Windows XP running, the driver is here at HP WebSite (Install MS UAA previously).

Google IPv6 Page [May 2008]

Posted by a. Rahman Isnaini r. Sutan on May 23, 2008

Couple weeks ago, browse to http://ipv6.google.com will be redirected to iGoogle Page.
Now it’s a bit different.

Google character is dynamically up and down in order from left to right in such time interval.
It means may be to distinguish that you are connected using ipv6 platform.

Please check if there any add-ons installed.
I found my tab browsing having trouble by auto reload each time I switch to another tab.
Page on the tab you want to see, is reloaded.
No matter it’s done or even in reload process before.

Disable the Add Ons might not a good trick one.
Uninstall the add ons.
My Case Skype Installation, automatically install add ons my Firefox 2.0.0.14 (This feature introduced by Mozilla on 1.0.0.5).
